Notice 005

I'm a little late but our game is out here! It's pretty exciting that we've actually got a finished product out now. I mostly worked on dialogue and did some music (the theme, the ending and the main bgm song that plays during the game) - Jay also did dialogue and some AMAZING editing on the sprites (although we had to use the default ones 'cause we can't make custom sprites in one month lol). Aida put it all together for us in RPGMaker MV (tysm!), and we all did various other things here and there. It's fun to actually say that Wizard Hut has a game now instead of just day dreaming about it. And I haven't yet gotten around to playing the other games and reviewing them but I will soon - I'm sure they're all great!

Although I am learning other game engines at uni, I'm planning on buying RPGMaker MV too (whenver it goes back on sale), so I should be able to start making some game ideas more easily! I've gotten some ideas about using the engine to prototype larger stories which sounds like a good idea too. But as always uni and work takes up a lot of time so I'm not sure when you'll see the next project from us.

I've finally gotten around to finishing of Undertale and Deltarune chapter 1 and 2 - definitely games that inspire me to make games! I've also been reading up on Toby Fox's Weekly Famitsu column, and I read Hideo Kojima's book over the break - it's always interesting to read about what other game dev's think, even if it's completely unrealted to video games, or their own game dev process. I also discovered today a great little game called "It is as if you were making love". Really interesting design and concept, check it out!
